The community celebrated Texas Southmost College’s 90th Anniversary on April 16, 2016 at the TSC Campus with live music, fireworks, lucha libre, games, food, giveaways and activities.

With a carnival-like atmosphere as the backdrop, hundreds of community members joined local leaders, students, faculty, staff and administrators in celebrating Texas Southmost College's 90th Anniversary on April 16, 2016 at the main campus.

Texas Southmost College received a $10,000 scholarship from the Bussert-Webb Family on March 31, 2016, for TSC students from Cameron Park in Brownsville.

Standing at the podium in front of the Texas Southmost College Board of Trustees, Dr. Kathy Bussert-Webb talked about her experience teaching in the Cameron Park neighborhood of Brownsville, its low college graduation rates and negative perception in the media.

Texas Southmost College hosted the Women’s International Day Conference on March 8, 2016 at the ITEC Center in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate in Brownville and El Nuevo Heraldo.

Before a crowd of almost two hundred at the Texas Southmost College ITEC Center, three female community leaders, including TSC President Dr. Lily F. Tercero, shared their inspirational stories of humble beginnings and the struggles they faced on the path to success during the March 8, 2016 Women's International Day Conference.

When he was six years old, Christian Torres saw his Aunt Rosie cut her finger while slicing watermelon during a family event. The youngster calmly retrieved the First Aid kit and began to disinfect and dress his aunt's wound with gauze, as she watched in amazement at how her 6-year-old nephew cared for her.
