Academics |
Texas Southmost College (TSC) was established in 1926 as a junior college providing the first two years of college, and technical-vocational programs. As a partner in the University of Texas at Brownville-Texas Southmost College Partnership, TSC now offers 33 associate degree programs, and 21 certificate programs. Students may now choose to study academic degree programs that lead to an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science or Associate of Arts in Teaching. These degrees lead to a bachelor's degree and are designed to transfer to many universities not only in Texas but across the nation. Additionally, TSC offers certificates and Associate of Applied Science degrees which lead to immediate employment in such fields as automotive technology, business management, computer information systems, CADD, nursing and many other majors. TSC will become a comprehensive community college operating independently in Fall 2013. This means that TSC will have a new tuition structure, streamlined programs of study, and policies and procedures that will lead to greater student success. |
