Attending class is critical to academic success. Regular and punctual attendance in class is expected of all students. Faculty will be taking attendance beginning the first day of class and throughout the entire semester. If you do not attend class regularly, you may:
- Lose your Financial Aid
- Be dropped from your course
Faculty Initiated Drops Faculty may process drops for non-attendance when it results in lack of progress. The course syllabus should include any established attendance policy and students should discuss absences or issues relating to attendance with each instructor.
Academic Standards Students who stop attending class for any reason should contact their instructor and the Office of Admissions and Records to officially withdraw from the class.
Failure to officially withdraw may result in a failing grade for the course.
It is the student’s responsibility to withdraw officially from a course.
For more information, please review the Student Handbook.
